How do I block emails from a sender?

Blocking an email address will stop that sender's email coming to your Inbox.  Please report/forward any suspected phishing or fraudulent emails you receive to SPAM@RCCD.EDU 


Block someone in Outlook (online)

To block someone in Outlook.com (Online email portal):

  1. Select the message or sender you want to block.

  2. From the top toolbar, select the "three dots" ... then Block Block sender.

  3. Select OK. The messages you select will be deleted and all future messages will be blocked from your mailbox.

 

Notes: To unblock someone, open your Block senders list and select the Remove next to their name.


 

Block someone in Outlook Desktop App (installed on the device)

  1. To block someone in Outlook Desktop App (installed on the device), select the messages or senders you want to block.

  2. Right-click on the message and then select Junk > Block Sender. The messages you select will be deleted and all future messages will be blocked from your mailbox.

Notes: To remove a blocked sender/email from your Blocked Senders list, simply go to Junk → Junk E-mail Options. From here the window will open and you can go the Blocked Senders tab to make edits.
